Fall Protection
Course Description
This course covers OSHA Fall Protection Standards for Construction and provides an overview of fall protection methods. Course topics include principles of fall protection, components and limitations of fall arrest systems, and OSHA Standards and policies regarding fall protection.
Upon course completion, students can assess compliance with the OSHA Fall Protection Standard, evaluate installed passive and fall arrest systems, and develop and implement fall protection plans. Students will participate in workshops demonstrating the inspection and use of fall protection equipment, training requirements, and creating a fall protection program.

Individuals responsible for overseeing safety in construction, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Maritime, and general industry industries.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify appropriate OSHA standards applicable to the workplace
- Identify the most common fall hazards found in construction
- Describe OSHA standards in 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M
- Identify relevant ANZI standards related to fall protection
- Identify abatement methods for common fall arrest hazards
- Develop required OSHA fall protection programs.

Students receive a course completion card and a certificate of completion at the end of the training.
